My Model Beauty Routine: Marie Venturi

What is a model’s secret to looking fresh? You’ll recognise Marie Venturi from the latest Rowenta for Elite Model Look tutorial videos. We caught up with her to talk basic routines and insider tips when it comes to haircare, skincare and nutrition.

How do you look after your hair?

I alternate my shampoo, but I usually use a creamy shampoo and conditioner for dry hair. It really gives shine and colour to the hair, it’s ideal for reflecting lighting. I wash my hair two to three times a week and if not before each casting and each job.

Do you use hair treatment products?

Yes, I love using hair masks! I tend to use a mask or hair oils to stop my hair from getting too dry.

You were our model in the tutorial videos. Which was your favourite to shoot?

I loved the twisted chignon! I love the Rowenta for Elite Model Look range, they deliver great results and are super easy to use. I love watching tutorial videos - it’s always good to learn how to do new styles and I love switching up my look!

What do you use to care for your skin in the mornings?

I apply toner onto cotton wool for my eyes and soak them with blueberry water to remove dark circles and pockets, which I put in the fridge the day before to cool. I finish by applying face cream, ready for the day. I use toning lotion and a face scrub at least two to three times a week. I usually use a mask afterwards and keep that on for about ten minutes to exfoliate and soothe the skin.

What is your evening skincare routine?

I use makeup milk and a face cream, one that’s for a mixed skin-type, to rehydrate the skin that may dry out during the day because of makeup or changes in temperature.

What do you love to eat?

I love mixed juices, usually made from tomatoes, carrots, spinach and ginger. A typical dish that I like to eat is chicken salad and grilled vegetables with mushrooms, avocado and small pieces of grapefruit seasoned with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. And I love sushi! Seafood is full of vitamins, low in calories and above all, super tasty!

Do you eat anything specific for your skin or hair?

I use a lot of olive oil in my kitchen and I’ve replaced traditional crisps with almonds so that’s very good for nourishing the hair. I also take two vitamins that contain keratin as protein for my nails and hair.
