How does it feel to be a Winner of Elite Model Look Nigeria 2018?
I feel very excited and happy to be the winner of Elite Model Look Nigeria 2018. I really feel blessed. I heard about Elite in school, the day I was scouted and I then went to Google it. I was really wowed by what I learned!
How did you apply for the contest?
I went for the regional casting held by Beth Model Management Agency in University of Benin, Benin city, Edo state. To be honest, I really didn't think I would but I hoped to go far in the contest and in the end, God did it for me and I won! I really feel honoured and grateful to be recognised along sides David, Victor and Mayowa. I really feel happy and thankful.
Why do you want to be a model?
I have a passion for fashion, I really admire models like Tyson Beckford and David Gandy and it's really been something I've always wanted to do. My favorite model is Victor. He has such a great personality and started from my school so we have some things in common!
At Elite Model Look we say: “your differences make our world”. What makes you different?
I would say what makes me different is my desire to learn and get better as a person, I'm quite humble person.
What is your passion?
I love cooking. For me, making meals is a form of expressing art and making people happy(after they eat it of course). I've been cooking for five years. I love cooking, because I love food, and making others happy through what makes me happy!
Who inspires you to succeed?
My family.
What is your favourite…
Song: I by Kendrick Lamar. It reminds me to love myself for who I am regardless where I find myself and what happens around me.
Instrument: I would love to play the drums. To me, the drums are very simple and amazing expression of feeling.
Music artist: Kendrick Lamar Duckworth, I'm such a fan of his lifestyle and his music is ever evolving, getting better and he keeps it original. For me, he always has a message to what he does. His art is really divine.
Future vacation destination: Paris, the city of love. France is an amazing country with amazing loving people with a great culture.
What does happiness mean to you?
Happiness for me means contentment and peace. I feel someone can truly be happy when they’re content, at peace with themselves and with God.
What are you most proud of about Nigeria?
I'm proud of most about Nigeria is our unity in diversity. Nigeria is a country with diverse cultures but in all this we are still one NIGERIA!
How do you feel about going to the Elite Model Look World Final?
I'm really honoured and happy to be representing my country in the Elite Model Look World Final. It really is amazing. I would love to take my mum because she has always supported me since I started this journey and I believe she deserves to see me shine at the World Final, God willing.
