Inside The Eml Uk Final 2019

Competition News EML UK
For 2019, we invited the EML UK Finalists to a Bootcamp at the Trafalgar St James Hotel, London, where they received masterclasses from industry insiders.

Model, Evening Standard’s Wellness Editor and Founder of Be Well Collective, Sarah Ann Macklin, discussed her career in the industry and her charitable initiative that aims to bring nutritional education and mental health coaching to the world of fashion models.

Model, dancer and psychologist Mandy Dyonne Lieveld coached the Finalists on catwalk movement. Influencer Andreea Cristea, known on Instagram as @stilettoshades, advised Finalists on social media strategy. Previous EML Finalists Alice Gilbert and Digby Usher talked to the Finalists about what to expect from model life.

Photographer Edwin S Freyer and stylist Alton Hetariki, founders of 5Eleven Magazine, and Creative Director of Radio Hair Salon Corrado Tevere have put together a two-part masterclass. Each set out what they required from the first-time models via a tutorial, before a full day’s photoshoot that will be the Finalists’ first Elite portfolio shots.

The Winners Nadia and Kaliel were announced at a private party hosted at the Rockwell at Trafalgar St James, where DJ Quatz spun tunes, and previous EML Finalists Chey Carty and Alice Gilbert attended alongside Elite staff and industry insiders.
