Elite Model Look Czech Republic With Zuzana Straska
In the Czech Republic, castings have begun for 2017, with a series of regional castings around the key shopping centres. Model Zuzana Straska is a mentor and ambassador – we caught up with her to find out what went down.
Tell us about the casting events you participated in this year for Schwarzkopf Elite Model Look Czech Republic.
I enjoyed every day of it, the role of ambassador/influencer/mentor and host was really fun for me and it enriched me with new experiences. Iˇm also looking forward to the final event where the winners will be chosen.
Have you been impressed with the people who came forward for casting this year?
It’s really impressive how many people participate every year! At the beginning, I thought that we had so many people last year that I was not sure if it will be as successful as last year, but even more beautiful people came to take part.
You were scouted at the swimming pool. What did it feel like?
To be honest, I didn't want to be a model. I was a tomboy so I jumped back to the water and didn't care. It was my mum who asked me: “why you didn't tell me somebody asked you for being a model? Don't you wanna at least try it?” And that’s how it all started!
Your abs are incredible! How do you stay in shape?
My abs are thanks to my mum, my lean body thanks to my father but of course I try to take care of myself as much as I can. Im trying to learn whats best for my body. Right now Im mostly doing Yoga, Yoga again and than running:) But I love any kind of sport and healthy food.
This year is 10 years since you first appeared as Model of the Week on Models.com. What moment are you most proud of from your career as a model?
There were so many highlights… Such as walking the show for Alexander McQueen or shooting D&G campaign…I also remember how my knees were shaking when I first met Steven Meisel!
What are you looking forward to right now?
Summer!
