At Elite Model Look we say: “your differences make our world”. What makes you different?

I’m a really curious person, when I try to do something I like to get advice from those around me, I like to know other people’s opinions and thoughts. Physically, I think my look is quite different, I often get asked about my heritage, I think my face is unusual and that makes me quite different.

What is your passion?

I’m passionate about photography and I like capturing and portraying people’s characteristics through photography. I enjoy being on both sides of the camera, my interest in photography has definitely helped me with modelling. I bought my first camera nearly a year ago. It was quite expensive but totally worth it. Photography had always interested me since a young age. It allows me to show the beauty of so many different things. I love it and try to improve each time I take a photo.

Tell us your favourite…

Model: One of the first models that I have loved for a few years is Constance Jablonski, her facial expressions and walk are so strong and she’s had some very cool campaigns. I also admire Gisele, Liu Wen and Vittoria Ceretti. They seem like powerful women and watching them in runway shows inspire me.

Inspirational quote: “Have patience. All things are difficult before they become easy”. If you really want something, you have to work hard and make it happen on your own. Determination as well as perseverance are the key to overcome failures and achieve your goals.

Sport: I used to do a lot of gymnastics, it taught me discipline which I think is really important. If you know why you’re doing it, you enjoy it and stay motivated.

Music artist: I listen to a lot of different music and enjoy listening when I’m in different moods. Although Queen is the only group I can listen to over and over again, especially the song “The show must go on”. The lyrics are meaningful and it gives me special feelings every time, I just love it.

If you could go back in time and give your younger self advice, what would you say and at what age?

Around the age of 13 and even after, I had a lack of confidence. I would say that it’s important to be surrounded by people who makes you happy. If someone keeps making you feel insecure about yourself, don’t listen and keep your distance. With time I grew up mentally and built the person I’m today. It’s essential to get over difficult moments in life, because you always learn from them.

If you could give $1m to any cause, what would it be and why?

I believe that every child in the world deserves an education and a great environment to grow up. This obviously includes going to school and having the tools to learn properly. Childhood has to be protected and I would like to help an association who fights for that cause, for example, Unicef.

Do you believe in horoscopes?

My sign is Aries and I’ve always found that it suits me well. I love to challenge myself and I’m very determined, sometimes too determined!

If you could go anywhere in the world – where you haven’t already been – where would you go?

I would love to go anywhere in Asia. Since I’m Eurasian, I feel like this is a part of me I need to discover. For now, I’ve never been outside of Europe. Travelling is one of the parts that interests me the most in modelling. I’d love to go to the Taj Mahal in India, it looks magical I’d love to see it for myself.

How does it feel to represent Luxembourg at the 35th Elite Model Look World Final?

It feels amazing, I got emotional the night of the National Final. In fact, it was a big surprise because we didn’t know there would be 4 Winners at the Elite Model Look Belux Final. Luxemburg had not been  represented in the international contest for a few year so I was really happy it was brought back this year.  I had heard about the competition through the documentary about Marilhéa Peillard on YouTube and did some research on the competition. At that moment, I would never have guessed that I would be able to participate one day. I was scouted while taking some pictures in a railway station so the whole thing feels like it was meant to be because I already knew about the contest I decided to go to next casting and was lucky enough to win. My family and friends were very supportive of me, and they’ve been with me every step of the way. I’m excited about meeting people from all around the world. We will have the chance of having professionals watching out for us. It’s all new to me, I can’t wait to learn plenty of new things! I'm excited to learn everything I can. I’ve already learnt how important it is to be on time and to be friendly and respectful to everyone, I want to make the most of every opportunity, without forgetting to enjoy it!

Tell us about Luxembourg!

Actually, a lot of people don’t know much about Luxembourg. The country is so small that the maximum distance that separates two cities is approximatively 80 km! However, Luxembourg is known for its cultural and financial capital. A lot of Europeans know Jean-Claude Juncker, the president of the European Commission the Schleck brothers are also quite famous. Luxembourg is a home for many cultures, more than 40% of the population are foreigners. The country is located between Belgium, France and Germany. That’s why most Luxembourgish people are multilingual. My country’s power is its diversity.
