Meet The Digital Creator Winners Of Elite Model Look 2019
New for 2019, the Elite Model Look model contest opened scouting to include Digital Creators for the first time. We invited 7 talented young influencers to take part in the 36th EML World Final, held in Paris, where they followed a bespoke programme of masterclasses with the Elite World Group Digital team and industry insiders. They learned about digital marketing, content creation, styling, hair and makeup as well as the internet’s hottest new platform, TikTok.
Below, meet the Digital Class of the EML World Final 2019, and learn who won the prizes of Winner, Runner-Up and Social Consciousness Award.
Digital Creator Winner: Laetitia Ky
I am a young Ivorian artist and activist born in 1996 in Abidjan. I studied Business Management at the Institut National Polytechnique Félix Houphouët-Boigny, and in 2015, I left to become a full-time artist. Exploring my interest in hairstyling, I began sharing images of sculptures which I create using my hair in 2017, creations designed to provoke political debate as well as aesthetic delight. As an aspiring model, being invited to the EML World Final is an amazing opportunity to explore my interests and to grow as an individual. Find me on Instagram, Twitter and Youtube.
Digital Creator Runner-Up: Lindsey Wheeler
I am a 22-year-old social media influencer from the United States. I make comedy, social commentary and lifestyle content via TikTok and Instagram. I have been interested in creating content in some way since I was a young child, and I want to share positivity, love and inspiration to those around me. I have enjoyed my experience at EML immensely and as part of the first class of Digital Creatives, I love that I can play a part in the future of this incredible contest. Digital Creator Social Consciousness Award: Allison Bouganim
I am a 21-year-old artist, activist, and side hustler. When I was 16, I founded Wax That Ass, an interactive sculpture series that combats and comments on sexual harassment. Passionate about art and design, entrepreneurialism and dismantling the status quo, I am incredibly honoured to be a part of EML World Final 2019, the first year to include digital innovators.
